13667. Egyptian Wood Painted Sarcophagus Mask
Late Period, Circa 712 to 300 BC A carved hardwood mummy masks, painted with a white ground; a partial high crown with a painted red-brown central sun disc, with traces of ocher, red-brown and blue pigment highlights and details, black outlined eyes and brows. Ancient losses to both sides of crown and a few minor imperfections. Size: 11 inches H. + custom mount. Provenance: Sold to Ezeldeen Taha Eldarir from Salahaddin Sirmali on 5/15/1930.
