450 to 550 AD. Nice facial vessel with good molded details and
painted in red and tan slip with full molded details. The disfigurement
is in the cut nose with the bone exposed; also there is some
scarification on both cheeks. This type of depiction does exist
in Moche ceramic art and it is believed to be a representation
of tropical diseases such as leishmaniasis or verruga. 4-3/4
