Mortar, Ecuador, Ca. 2000 to 1500 BC. Interesting gray flecked
stone carved into a large abstract animal form; the exaggerated
large head with incised toothy grin and large eyes. Behind is
a massive tail curled, pierced and with heavy incised spiral.
A deep mortar depression atop and four slight delineated feet

Shaman in Transformation, Ecuador, Ca. 500 AD. A male Shaman
transforming from a fish. He has animated facial features, mouth
open, large ear, chin and nose ornaments and necklaces. He wears
an elaborate tubular with applique headdress. His lower body
is that of the back of a fish with fins and tail. He holds a
staff in one hand and remarkably, he holds a miniature example

Birthing Stone Ecuador, Ca. 2000 to 1000 BC. A carved greenish-grey
sedimentary stone slab of very unique style and form. The carving
is of a nude female in a birthing position. The iconography is
similar to that found on Moche pottery. 4 in H. + custom mount.
Pierced horizontal, possibly for suspension in a collar. Ample
age deposits. Chip on top corner. This is an exciting find as
it represents a transition of sorts from Early Horizons in Ecuador
