9400. Egyptian Wood Painted Funerary Pectoral
XXVth Dynasty, Ca. 646 to 525 BC.
Architectural shaped wood magical shrine inlaid and inscribed with an ancient blue glass heart scarab, painted with wings and on top of a barge; symbolic for a protective journey. A two line hieroglyphic inscription is below and architectural detailing. Rev. is later antique period repainted.
Size 3-5/8 inches Wide x 5-1/2 inches Height. + custom mounted.
