9399. Egyptian Cartonnage Painted Funerary Mask

XXVth Dynasty, Ca. 646 to 525 BC.

A linen and plaster/gesso mask, finely decorated, the wig painted with a lotus blossom and the lovely flesh tone face with almond shaped eyes in white and black pigment outlines the pupils and brows; the wig painted as bejeweled.

14-1/2 inches (36 cm) Height + custom mounted.
