9257. Chancay Ceramic Cuchimilco Figure
North Coast Peru, Ca. 1100 to 1400 AD.
Hollow made and standing on short thick legs with delineated toes. Both stub hands are held up and facing forward. The face is decorated with eye masks and tribal crosshatched area on cheeks.
The body is wonderfully monolithic and roundish with impressive molded form. Painted in cream and brown.
13 in H. x 11 inches wide.
Condition: Repaired with some minor restoration & original deposits.
