Richter was curator of the Department of Classical Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In the early 1950's she became the first woman, other than a head of state, to receive from the University Oxford the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa, in recognition of the collections and publications, of which this is one, at the Metropolitan Museum. $85 |
