Swine Art is Fine Art

Press Release for Immediate Release - 11/27/2009

In what may be the first comprehensive exhibition of sculptural renderings of pigs, Art for Eternity is delighted to highlight the brightest moments in pig history. Our show, which will open Thursday, December 10th and run through mid-Feburary, features a diverse and exciting collection of over 70 swine spanning millennia, and makes the case for their inclusion into the pantheon of beloved—and may we say beautiful—friends of mankind and objects of veneration.

Their complex reputation--and the current pandemic--nothwithstanding, our research proves that swine have seen periods of power, reverence and grace, and our collection showcases some of the very best representations of this unsung animal.

The exhibition can currently be seen on our website at www.howardnowes.com. It is best to call the gallery to make an appointment to come and view the collection in its entirety, at our gallery, AFE, located at 303 East 81st Street, by calling Howard Nowes, director, at (917) 733-4165.
